Painting the Quantocks

Art Evening

An illustrated journey through the artistic heritage of the Quantock Hills. A short talk by Terence Sackett on the history of landscape painting in West Somerset, including the celebrated Victorian Idyllists group.

Local artists, including Claire Devergier and Juliet Harkness, will share insights into their work, their sources of inspiration, and the appeal of this unique landscape.

The event will feature a selection of slides and an exhibition of original paintings.

Non-members of the library Trust £10, members £7.50 per event, payable at the door.

There will be an interval at each event for refreshment
