Can Small Farms Survive Nether Stowey Farm

Can Small Farms Survive

New Stowey Farm

with Iain Porter, Quantock Hills National Landscape Team

An insightful talk for anyone interested in farming, sustainability, and the future of our countryside.

New Stowey Farm, owned by Somerset Council, is now being developed as a demonstrator farm by the Quantock Hills National Landscape Team. But what does it take to make a small farm both environmentally responsible and economically viable?

Iain Porter, Manager of the Quantock Hills National Landscape Team, will explore the current state of the farm, its long-term vision, and how it will be managed in the years ahead. From regenerative agriculture and supporting nature recovery to tackling climate challenges, this project aims to showcase how smaller-scale farming can succeed.

A thought-provoking talk offering real insight into the future of farming in our local landscape.
