Showcase at the Thomas Poole Library
A vibrant selection of artwork from the Quantock Nature Calling project is currently being showcased in the display cabinet at Thomas Poole Library, Nether Stowey, where it can be seen until the end of January 2026.
The exhibition highlights creative work developed during a six-month programme in 2025, celebrating the achievements of participants who took part in a series of artist-led workshops with Luan MacDonald. Commissioned by Somerset Art Works in partnership with the Quantock Hills National Landscape, the project primarily engaged African communities and families living on or around the Quantock Hills. Through the shared theme of migratory birds travelling between Africa and the Quantocks, the workshops explored connections between place, movement and belonging.
A full write-up of the project and its wider context can be found on the Quantock Nature Calling website.
